Accelerated Change Mechanisms of Excellence
acme: noun; the highest point of achievement; peak

“The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.” -Arthur C. Clarke
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” -Viktor E. Frankl
2 Preconditions to Achieve Anything
- Burning desire for the outcome
- Willing to give it what it takes

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.”
Stage 1: The Process of Change
The only type of person who isn’t hitting an obstacle is someone who isn’t moving.
A. Comfort Zone: No change is possible
B. Desire: You’re exposed to something you didn’t know you and you want it – kicks off change
B-C. Any time you step outside your comfort zone you will be uncomfortable by default B to C. Trial and Error
C. Breakthrough
C-D. Mastery: Once you’ve produced the behavior once, that’s great, but then you’ve got to do it over and over again.
D. Dominant Habits: You can’t not do it. It’s your automatic go-to.
“If someone doesn’t want to change then there is nothing you can do to change them. But if someone is determined to change, then there is nothing you can do to stop them.” -Gina Mollicone-Long
Stage 2: Cycle of Results
Actions precede results but that’s not where they start – they start in the mind: Thinking > Feeling > Action > Results
E=mc2
What did Einstein do that no one had ever done before using this formula? He made it equal – he equated matter and energy. Matter is energy whose vibration has been lowered to be perceivable by the 5 senses, therefore everything is energy and everything is governed by those laws.
Each stage of this process increases how many senses they’re perceivable by, creating a continuum of how thoughts become things.
Let’s translate it to us:
Stage 3: Performance Triad
- Focus: focus on what you want
- Emotions: choose positive emotions
- Physiology: physiology of power
- Take Action!
Focus
- The Reticular Activating System (RAS)’s job is to find what you tell it to look for, so it can take all 2 million bits and pick the 126 to take in
- What you take in is your reality
- Your reality dictates your behavior, which in turn, dictate your results
- You can only find what you’re looking for
Emotions
“Negative emotions are a sign from the unconscious mind to focus on what you want.” -Tad James
If you get into a negative emotional state use the Emotional Guidance System to “snap” out of it:
S – stop
N – notice
A – alter
P – proceed
Physiology of Power
- Our #1 barrier is stress
- Slow down your breathing and breathe deeper than normal
- To shift into the state of coherence, activate the feeling of gratitude
- This can happen in 120 seconds
Stage 4: NLP
NLP is the study of excellence and how to replicate it using the language of the mind to consistently achieve results.
The Power of Language
- The unconscious mind does not process the word “don’t”
- Everything you say after the word “don’t” is accepted as a command, so say it the way you want it
- Ex. “Remember your homework,” instead of, “Don’t forget your homework”
The Agreement Frame
When in a conversation with someone who doesn’t see things the same way as you, stop using “understand” or “but,” instead…
- I agree (with you), and…
- I respect (your situation), and…
- I appreciate (your position), and…
“The first step to getting anywhere is deciding you’re no longer willing to stay where you are.” -Anonymous
